Program Eligibility Requirements:


To be eligible to enroll in Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program, individuals:

  • Must be 18 years of age, or older
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Cannot have been convicted of or plead guilty to a felony offense

Pharmacy technicians work in pharmacies, including those found in grocery, drug stores and hospitals. Most of the employees work full time and some work part time. Pharmacy technicians help licensed pharmacists dispense prescription medication. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2010 median pay is $28,400. The employment growth has an expected increase of 32% (much faster than the average 10%) from 2010 to 2020. Rapid growth is expected for the pharmacy technician field.
